Megaloid Laboratories is a family owned chemical distributor and trader. For over 40 years we have been providing creative solutions to our customers and suppliers through our global sourcing, product knowledge, logistical capabilities, and teamwork. We make it our priority to bring value to our partners in every transaction.

Innovation

As part of our promise to offer creative alternatives, we specialize in distributing wide spec, recycled, and byproduct solvents, developing new markets and applications. We welcome opportunities to move slow and obsolete inventory, and to source difficult to find products. We are always looking for new ways to create value.

We strive for excellence, reliability, consistency, and integrity. We are a proud member of Responsible Distribution Canada (RDC) and we are continually involved in the improvement of the safe handling of all the quality products we offer. We are certified Partners in Protection and phase three verified of the Responsible Distribution code.

Service

Our team is focused on providing exceptional service to our business partners. We have developed best practices – including proprietary operations software – over four decades. We value our relationships as partnerships – with our customers, suppliers, carriers, and terminals. Our response time is quick, and our culture is one of gratitude.

Incorporated by Bill Welsh, adhesive chemist, to develop & distribute adhesive products and raw materials

1985

Established offices and a small lab in Mississauga, Ontario with 2 employees

1997

Became a member of the Canadian Association of Chemical Distributors, now Responsible Distributors Canada

Purchased 5 acres, a building and relocated to Oakville, Ontario

2002

Certified after 3rd party verification for Responsible Care

2012

Debbie McNamee named President

2014

Approved for first railcar ERAP (Emergency Response Assistance Plan) in Canada after changes in the law, in response to new government directives

2016

Audited and approved by Transport Canada for all road & rail shipments

2021

Megaloid transitioned to a hybrid work model in response to COVID-19 restrictions. This shift has proven to be a lasting success, fostering flexibility, productivity, and a healthier work-life balance for our team.

2024

Megaloid Incorporated officially launched its operations in the USA.
